Vivian moved from San Francisco to Seattle in 2008 for her career in the fashion industry with Nordstrom, Inc. What began as a fast-paced corporate journey soon evolved into a deeper exploration of balance, purpose, and self-connection. While training for her first marathon, Vivian discovered yoga—and, through it, the power of breath. Learning to connect breath with movement transformed her running; what once felt like pure endurance became a moving meditation. That awareness opened the door to a lifelong practice of mindfulness, presence, and inner stillness.
Yoga became her grounding force: a way to find clarity amid life’s constant motion. In 2017, she left her corporate career to follow a long-held dream—creating a space where others could experience that same sense of connection and renewal. DRIFT was born from that vision: to make yoga accessible to everyone, with classes and teachers that meet people exactly where they are.
Vivian is E-RYT 200 certified through Yoga Medicine and has continued her education in myofascial release, anatomy, and trauma-informed yoga. Most recently, she completed her Sound Healing training at Seattle Sound Temple, and sound baths have become a part of her offerings—woven into workshops, retreats, private sessions and classes at DRIFT.
Her teaching combines mindful movement, breath, and sound to help students reconnect to their bodies and their natural rhythm. When she’s not at the studio, you’ll find her exploring the Pacific Northwest with her husband, creating new juice recipes, or planning DRIFT retreats around the world. For Vivian, yoga and sound are both pathways to healing—a way of life that continues to evolve, expand, and connect her to community every day.
