A stunning space for YOU, designed with YOU in mind - to breathe, move, refuel the body and mind. This is your haven away from home and work to practice yoga and enjoy organic pressed juices, alternative milks, and vegan/gluten free baked goods made daily in-house. As you walk through the space, it gives you different feel and experience. Open all through the week just for you, so come and hang with us!
YOGA: We designed this space putting our clients and partners (our yoga instructors) first. We made sure that every client has visibility of the partner during class by installing a tiered floor. The space is calming, serene, and quiet. Our non-heated yoga studio (room temperature 75 degrees) is spacious with room all around the mat for you to practice with a foot space between mats on all sides. We are a reserve your mat studio to make sure that where you will practice is truly where you are going to be comfortable, so you can be present. We’ve made it simple by providing you with everything you need for class: a Pro Manduka 6 mm Mat, props, and water. They will be ready at your reserved spot.
JUICE BAR: An organic vegan and gluten free selection of baked goods, pressed juices, alternative milks and milk blends with occasional specials made daily in-house. Our juices and alternative milks are made in small batches several times a day for consistency of taste, texture and volume, then stored and sealed in French square bottles. We never add ice so the nutrients in the juices and alternative milks stay. We have carefully put together a very tight menu with a purpose. Each recipe has been worked on for the last 3 years by the founder and owner, and throughout the process, we had you in mind. Have a taste and enjoy it at the bar or take it to-go. *As of January 2026, we are taking special orders only - please drop us an email to inquire.
YOGA STORE: It’s our DRIFT Closet where we have carefully selected some of our favorite items mostly made by women and some Made in the US or locally Made in Seattle. We have a selection of athleisure wear for men and women, apothecary, sweat-proof jewelries, home items, and our branded items. We believe in products that have purpose, support charities or give back to the community and ingredients that have never been tested on animals.
YOGA LOUNGE: Where you feel the calm as you leave the noise outside before stepping in to the yoga studio to be on your mat. Here we have some lockers, spaces to sit on, hand wash sink, drinking water faucet and right around the corner an all gender changing room and restrooms should you need it.
Behind DRIFT
The seed for DRIFT was planted in 1999, when founder Vivian Duelli was running long distances and was introduced to yoga by her trainer. Almost immediately, she felt the shift—her body moved differently, her breath deepened, her recovery improved, and her relationship to movement changed. Yoga didn’t just support her running; it began to shape her daily life. From that moment on, she carried a quiet dream: one day, I’ll open a yoga studio.
The purpose was simple and clear—to share yoga as a form of movement that feels accessible, grounding, and available to everyone.
At the time, Vivian was building a career she loved in the fashion industry. That chapter lasted nearly two decades, but she always knew it wasn’t forever. Originally from Marin County, California, she moved to Seattle in 2008 and immediately felt that this city would one day be home to her future studio. In 2017, she took the leap—leaving her career at Nordstrom Inc. and becoming a student again. She completed her 200-hour RYT with Yoga Medicine, trained in the Fascial Web through Anatomy Trains with Tom Myers, studied yoga for TBI with Love Your Brain, and has continued teaching ever since.
As her teaching evolved, so did her curiosity around the nervous system, vibration, and rest. Vivian has since expanded her offerings to include sound baths and sound-integrated practices, completing training with Seattle Sound Temple under Irene Ingalls and Karen Knight. Sound has become a natural extension of her work—supporting down-regulation, deep listening, and a sense of spaciousness both on and off the mat.
Alongside her teaching, another layer of DRIFT began to take shape. Over the last several years, Vivian found herself experimenting in the kitchen—testing vegan and gluten-free baked goods, alternative milks, and nourishing blends. Living with food allergies herself, she realized she couldn’t be the only one craving thoughtful, inclusive options. From that curiosity, the idea of a juice bar emerged—not as the centerpiece, but as a subtle extension of the studio experience. The vision was intentional: something that supports the practice without distracting from it. Yoga would always come first.
As she searched for a home for DRIFT, Vivian and her husband traveled extensively, observing spaces across the country and beyond. They took notes on how places felt—what they saw, heard, tasted, and experienced—constantly asking themselves questions from both the customer’s and the owner’s perspective. Once a location was found, she spent time simply being there: watching the rhythms of the neighborhood, noticing how people moved through their days, and listening to what the community needed. With all of those observations and intentions woven together, DRIFT Yoga + Juice Bar came to life.
And the name?
Years earlier, while paddleboarding near the ferries in Larkspur, California—still feeling a bit daring—Vivian found herself drifting effortlessly alongside them. In that moment, she thought, DRIFT would be a cool name for a business. How fitting it turned out to be. DRIFT is a place where the mind can soften, the body can move with ease, and you can drift away from the hustle of the city—if only for a moment.
That’s how it all began.
