The DRIFT 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is more than a certification — it’s an immersive, life-changing journey that weaves together philosophy, anatomy, movement, and self-discovery. To fully integrate your learning, trainees are asked to engage deeply — both on and off the mat.
Practice & Class Requirements
In addition to weekend training sessions, students are required to complete 40 in-studio classes at DRIFT during the training. These classes support your embodiment of the teachings, provide live examples of sequencing and cueing, and nurture your connection to the broader DRIFT community.
Required Class Distribution:
Lara — 16 classes: Vinyasa + Meditation, Ashtanga Variation
Dikla — 8 classes: Vinyasa
Leah — 8 classes: Yin Flow, Yin
Vivian — 8 classes: Vinyasa + MFR
This balance allows you to experience a range of approaches and energies.
Attendance will be tracked throughout the program, and students are encouraged to vary class styles (vinyasa, slow flow, yin, etc.) to cultivate versatility in their personal practice and teaching.
Mentorship & Continuing Education
10-Hour Mentorship Program
(Post-Training Integration | Begins Two Months After Completion)
Your yoga journey doesn’t end when the 200-hour training wraps — it evolves. Two months after completion, we gather again for a 10-hour mentorship program designed to support your integration, growth, and next steps.
Led by: Lara & Vivian
This intentional pause allows time to absorb and embody the teachings — letting philosophy, sequencing, and practice settle into lived experience. When we reconvene, you’ll have space to reflect, refine, and reconnect — bringing forward questions, curiosities, and discoveries that have surfaced since completing your training.
Choose your focus:
For aspiring teachers: receive guidance on sequencing, cueing, and the logistics of leading public classes. You’ll also have the opportunity to teach a donation-based community class at DRIFT, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment.
For dedicated practitioners: explore advanced topics, refine your self-practice, and continue mentorship conversations that nurture confidence and clarity.
This mentorship offers direct feedback, individualized support, and continued connection to your DRIFT training community.
Please note: participation in the mentorship does not guarantee a teaching position at DRIFT, but it provides invaluable experience and personalized guidance as you continue your yoga journey.

About Viveka: Philosophy
Viveka Yoga was co-founded by Dikla Kafka and Lara Ederer in 2013. Viveka, which in Sanskrit means "wise discernment" was established as a yoga school that emphasized the reverance of the yoga tradition with contemporary intelligance. We are in complete honor of the traditions of the Iyengar, Ashtanga, Sivananda, and Ghosh lineages.
Our teaching approach is rooted science based material, evidence based techniques, Sankhya philosophy, and the development of strong teaching skills. We have a combined 2000 hours of studies in the nervous system, pranayama techniques, orthopedics, advanced philosophy, traditional Chinese medicine, meditation, and therapeutics.
About the Teachers
Dikla Kafka - 500 E-RYT, MA in Political Science, MA Jewish Education, and MA in progress in Bible and Theology, a lifelong seeker of depth and discipline. She first encountered yoga in her late 20s, following years of martial arts training. Drawn to the inner landscapes revealed through breath, subtle body work, and meditative focus, she immersed herself in the traditions of Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Sivananda yoga in her native Tel Aviv.
Based in Seattle for the past 15 years, Dikla is co-owner of Viveka Yoga School and has been training and mentoring new yoga teachers since 2014. Her teaching style weaves precise alignment with philosophical inquiry, and she is known for her ability to translate ancient ideas into relevant, embodied wisdom.
Dikla is also a Jewish philosophy educator and violinist, and is currently completing her third master’s degree - this one in theology. She brings a rich tapestry of insight from her academic and spiritual studies into her yoga philosophy modules, inviting students to explore yoga as a living, evolving dialogue between the body, the breath, and the soul.
Lara Ederer - 500 E-RYT, Yoga Medicine Therapeutic Specialist, 1000 Hr in progress, MSW Social Work Seattle University. Lara began practicing yoga in 2001 and immediately felt connected to the practice. She has studied primarily in the Ashtanga traditions but has also immersed in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Restorative Yoga, and Therapeutics.
Lara has taken over 700 hours of orthopedic studies with her teacher Tiffany Cruickshank and Yoga Medicine which has led her to become a local expert in teaching anatomy for yoga teachers. She co-founded Viveka Yoga with Dikla in 2014 and also guest teaches anatomy for other yoga schools.
In addition, Lara has extensive studies in Sanskrit, Yoga Mythology, and the Philosophical texts of the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads.
Leah Adams, guest teacher – Leah is the founder of Innerland Yoga, a practice rooted in mindfulness, somatic awareness, and the quiet strength of inner listening. Her teaching invites students to slow down, feel deeply, and connect with the landscapes within — where stillness and self-understanding meet. At DRIFT, Leah guides with a grounded, nurturing presence, weaving together intelligent alignment, breath, and introspection to help students cultivate both steadiness and softness on their path.
Vivian Duelli, guest teacher: Mentorship - Vivian is the owner and founder of DRIFT Yoga + Juice Bar, where movement, mindfulness, and community come together in an intentional, modern sanctuary. An E-RYT instructor trained through Yoga Medicine, Anatomy Trains, and Love Your Brain, Vivian’s teaching blends anatomical intelligence with creative sequencing. She is also certified in sound healing and sound bath facilitation, through Seattle Sound Temple by Irene Ingalls weaving vibrational therapy and meditative listening into her offerings to support deeper nervous system regulation and energetic balance.
Her classes are equal parts strength and surrender — encouraging students to explore curiosity, embodied awareness, and connection both on and off the mat.
The path of yoga is one of remembrance — of who you are beneath the noise, and of the steady light that has always been within you. The DRIFT 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is not just about learning to teach yoga; it’s about deepening your relationship with yourself, your practice, and your purpose.
Whether your intention is to guide others or to simply live more awake and aligned, this journey invites you to expand, evolve, and return home to your center. Surrounded by a supportive community of teachers and fellow seekers, you’ll explore what it truly means to live your yoga — with clarity, compassion, and connection.
Your practice has brought you this far. Let this training be the next step — a doorway into a more intentional, embodied, and inspired life.
NOTE: If you are currently not practicing at DRIFT, you may get an auto-renew membership while you are in the 200 Hr Teacher Training for unlimited 45 minute or 60 minute regular classes. Interested? Email us
